Chiropractic Debate Goes On
2/14/2004

Regarding the chiropractors’ letter of Jan. 23:

The late Dr. Earl Craton, my father-in-law, was a credited chiropractor, who also taught chiropractors.

In his own research he discovered a better way of treatment not taught in the chiropractic colleges.

Viki Resler said in her letter, this was an old chiropractic technique. Not true! Dr. Craton came to my farm in 1982 to watch me butcher a hog, so he could study the bones in the neck. He later participated in human dissections to further his research.

When he moved back to Enid in 1996, an old patient of his asked him to go to Resler’s office and teach her his technique.

He wanted to start a class in Enid to teach chiropractors his own research, but they were not interested. Dr. Craton told me he wasn’t going to teach them for free. If they wanted to learn it, they would have to pay him.

They say my daughter, Tammy, wasn’t trained at any accredited university. She sat for hours on end at her grandfather’s knee, drinking in his every word.

Also, when people came to her, she brought them to our home and had her grandfather oversee her work, to be sure she did it right!

Chiropractors, are you afraid someone has a better way? Are you afraid you will lose some of your business?

Since some chiropractors had Tammy treat them, the smokescreen cry of “public safety” flies out the window!
